|
|
Hi all,
Just downloaded and installed the latest version for my Navman.
And when I select the map, the device is beeping like there is no tomorrow as it is telling me that there is a speed camera 10 feet away from my house!
How do I find the incorrect entry for deletion from the database?
More importantly who do I inform about this inaccuracy or error?

Is it a Mobile Camera Site? Has a Camera ever been there?
If you are 100% sure that it is an incorrect Camera Location use the Yellow Submission section of the Camera Page.
Read the instructions on the Page carefully. _________________ Richard

I was using the consolidated file which gave me the problem. I have sidestepped the issue by using the single file version instead.
There is no camera icon on the map when I use the consolidated file. All I have is the message on the Navman ICN520 which tells me that I am within 10ft of a speed camera and the incessant beeping of course. When I disable the GATSO and Mobile POI the beeping stops.
To my knowledge there has never been a camera on my street. I live on a suburban road which does not have through traffic. Using the camera submission page I noticed that there was a mobile camera about 1000 or so ft away.
Should I PM with my location to see whether there is an incorrect entry?
cheers

You can easily see by looking at your location on the camera submission page. _________________ Darren Griffin |

When you open the consolidated files in your POI editor you will see the following entrys "control 1","control 2", "control 3" delete these entrys as
they have Lat/Lon of 0,0 which Makes the ICN520 show speedcam in
*10ft* before unit has obtained satellite fix. |

That sounds like a good reply xhosa1. This has cropped up a couple of times, and it has been assumed it was an actual entry that was wrong.
Is this something that has always been there but only upsets a particular model? Is it something that needs altering by the PGPSW "camera team"? |
