On my 660 I have the camera database preinstalled, and was wondering on the opinions of others as to wether it is worth taking out the free trial of cyclops (and what the difference is to whats already installed on the 660) and wether it would then be beneficial to take out full subscription (giving me updates) or wether the PGPS database is a better bet considering the price diff etc? any input ? thanks Ste |

i'll let those who have used the cyclops database tell you how it compares as i'm obviously going to be biased.
however, benefits of the pgpsw one over the cyclops one:
1) chance to get free lifetime subscription
2) updated, on average, every 2 weeks
3) easy to send in updates or changes to the database
4) changes that get sent in are guarunteed to be reviewed before the next release
5) we tell you exactly how many cameras are in the database
6) we tell you how many new cameras have been added to new releases
7) we're cheaper! either £2 for a month (on average 2 database releases) or £19 for a full year (on average 25-25 databases)
8) subscription also gives you access to members only forums and monthly competitions

The Database does sound great for the price, but just wondered what cyclops users think of each one in comparison?

should be ok assuming you live together? just don't go taking liberties as if any files end up back in our hands (via newsgroups, torrents etc etc) then we can trace the original downloader...
