Hold down the HOME key and reset the device when prompted by ticking 'Yes'. _________________ Gee-Pee

Open your SmartST desktop programme and then connect your Navman. Now click on the 'Check for Updates' tab.
Yes, you could try a hard reset. Just turn the Power switch off on the back then on again and you should have to go through the 'Accept Agreement' process and the maps will then re-load. _________________ Gee-Pee

Hi
If what Gee Pee said did not work, goto page 69 of the manual, do an uninstall, then reinstall your software, then do not forget to get your registration. this can be found under tools, manual found under help of your desk top software.
Regards

Hi
Have you tried my sugestions?
If you follow them you should not go wrong.
Have you installed SmartST on your PC? Is it installed correctly.
Regards

I believe that the updater on smartdesk only updates the device with the last downloaded update. In your case the 510. I think you may find the 520 software on the original disks.
I remember doing this once or twice on my old 5 series GPS, but don't exactly remember how. _________________ Dom

Chapter 20, page 84 explains how to reinstall the English language on your iCN5** device. Remember, if you have not got a copy its easy enough to download a pdf version.
I seem to remember this was a very common problem that members experienced some time ago when there was a patch issued by Navman. _________________ Gee-Pee
