just got my tomtom one v2 today and this is what i have done so far
1 made a backup of my sd card
2 made a copy on my new 2gb sd card
3 installed usa maps
4 installed speed cams with ogg files set to warn at 500 yards some cams did not have ogg files about 6 so used tomtom sounds
5 made another backup
6 put pois i got from here in to tne map folder there is allready a file called poi.dat the file i copyed in is called POIs this is when i need help cant seam to get pois to work cant find them when i turn the satnav on ??
also will poi capture work with software ver6.560 if so help |

The poi.dat file is the built-in POI file that comes with the map. You can't edit it.
Any poi's that you add yourself must have 2 components: an 'ov2' file and a 'bmp' file, each with the same filename.
And yes, inside the map folder is the correct place to put them. |

These are the Files that have to be copied to the Map Folder on the ONE.
DO NOT put them into a sub-folder. It just doesn't work.

when i unzipped the pois zip i just got a file called pois so i used winrar to unzipp that then i got the pois files i needed put them in the map folder all working fine now thanks for your help one more thing when you take your tomtom out of the car do you slid the clip from the back of the tomtom or pull the ball from the socket the clip is very hard to get off but i think if i keep pulling the ball from the socket it will get slack |
