Nüvi 250W - Considering a return

Hi All,

I have had a read through the forum and think I know the answer to this but I would love someone to confirm a few things with me. I'm considering returning the Nüvi 250W as we're just not getting on

1. Is there any way whatsover to change the map colours. I find it so much easier to comprehend the data quickly when e.g motorways are blue etc.

2. When travelling a route, is there any way of displaying an ETA and ETE? I know it's subject to change but previous experience suggests that it's usually pretty accurate.

3. The appalling refresh rate is possibly something I can learn to live with but is there a way to improve this. I believe that all GPS devices only really update their position once per second and any more updates are 'guess' work. That's ok in a car though IMHO as it's unlikely that a vehicle travelling at say 50mph will make a completely unpredictable 90° turn to the left in a half a second! The 'guess' is likely to be fairly accurate.

4. My unit also completely locked up on my first trip. Is this common?
