Mio 201 using TT5 - cannot lock onto satellites!

Can anyone help? Have been using TT5 on my Mio 201 fine for a year. All of a sudden I can no longer lock onto satellites. I have checked all the settings and they are the same as when it was working (Port: GPS HWCOM, Baud: 4800, other NMEA device). Once I put the destination in I can see plenty of satellites with good signal strength but none of them convert to blue. I have done a soft reset and have run out of things to try. Thanks gc.

Download THIS and save to e.g. My Documents.

Connect to PC via ActiveSync.

Go to where you saved the download and double click on Install Programme.

Start VisualGPSce and tap on Connect - Serial Port (Comm Port).

Select to COM 2 - GPS_HWCOM and set to Baud 4800. Click OK.

Go outside and see if you get a lock on the sats.

When you've finished make sure you click on File - Exit to release the port for when you start TT.

If you get locks with VisualGPSce the I would suggest you reinstall TomTom.
