Can anyone tell me why my Go510 (and those of a few others I know) randomly fail to switch on without using the reset button? :x
This random problem seems to happen when having previously removed the Go510 from its car holder and then putting it back on and then powering it up. It would fail to switch on about 40% of the time.
If I leave it on the car holder, switch it off and then come back to it later, it always starts fine.
As far as I am aware I am not disturbing the SD card when removing the Go510 from the car holder. _________________ TT GO 1005 |

Are you switching it off before you remove it from the car mount? _________________ Richard

I would say sometimes yes, others no but cannot say for certain now what I would have done the times it has failed on me.
Am I to assume switching it off after removing from the car holder is a no-no? _________________ TT GO 1005 |

It's not something I have experienced, so was just trying to see if you used any particular method. Then if you did, to try doing it the other way. _________________ Richard

I put mine on the car holder BEFORE I switch on the ignition (cig lighter not powered without ignition), then when I switch on ignition it starts - every time without fail. I used to switch off ignition before taking it off the holder too, but then had to switch off the device due to TT's mod which stopped it turning off with ignition. Now, thanks to Andrew Crane I no longer have to switch off the device, the ignition does it for me again. _________________ Dennis
