I've installed AA Navigator, but I have a problem - when creating an Outgoing COM Port in WM5 on my O2 XDA Mini S, it only lets me use COM6 or COM7. However AA Navigator only has options for COM0,1,2,3,4,8 and 9. I have a Holux GPSlim 236 BT receiver.
It works fine with TomTom Navigator 6, it lets me choose COM6.

Hi markmcrobie,
I hope you've been in touch with our support folks about this.
You can drop an email to support AT aanavigator.com if you don't fancy paying for a phone call.
Two immediate possibilities for your problem: You mention using TomTom 6 with the device - if TomTom is still installed, it's unlikely that any other program will be able to access the GPS, as the TTN software tends to lock it even when TTN isn't running.
The other possible problem is that you have managed to get hold of an older version of the software. All of the XDAs have slightly broken bluetooth, and it all tends to be broken in slightly different ways - we try to track them, but it's an uphill battle. If you contact support, please include the software version number (tap Settings, tap About) and we can get you an updated version or advise you on a workaround.
cheers
Matt

Hi Matt,
I have similar problem to Mark. Just purchased and loaded AA Navigator onto my Orange SPV M600 but having trouble connecting to a Navman 4400 GPS receiver. Have set up a Bluetooth partnership (NAVMAN GPS ONE) on Devices tab which has serial port ticked (but have tried it with unticked and still failed). Have also set up Outgoing Port. Only had a choice of COM6 or 7 - have tried both. Then in AA Navigator on GPS Setup screen only have choice of Com 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 9 - have tried them all. On Baud Rate have used 57600. When it tries to scan for 4400 it always fails. Any ideas?? |
