Can i ask why the people that run this site don,t come up with there own gps camera detector,im sure by using their database it would have no equals!I have in the past used camera detectors of all descriptions and none of them comes close to gpsworlds database,i,m sure they would be onto a winner. It would be nice to have a simple plug in device that you could trust 100% but there aint,if anyone knows a good one let us know! |

You can get software to run on the Pocket PC devices that do offer the speed camera warning functionality, some with extra frills others with not much else, OK so you will need a PPC device and GPS (or PPC Mobile Phone with built in GPS like the O2 Orbit or T-Mobile MDA-C-III).
I am not aware of any specific standalone hardware that can do what you request though, putting speed camera warning software onto your own hardware, combined with a GPS device (external or built in) and the PocketGPSWorld database works very well, keep an eye out for this type of software over the next week or so on the site - Mike |

Do you mean produce a Pocketgpsworld Satnav, a sort of Pgpsw GO (or Garmin or Navman or summat)? _________________ Dennis

It's something we have mulled over on numerous occasions. The barrier is of course the investment required but we have one or two ideas on the fire that may come to fruition ;) _________________ Darren Griffin |
