Tomtom go 300 upgrade

Hi

I have had my tomtom Go 300 for about 18 months now and I know that the map of Great Britain is out of date. I am considering updating but was wondering that if I bought a larger SD card I could get additional maps and enjoy the same functionality of the higher models? Would you also recommend downloading from the tomtom site or should I get an SD with the map info posted to me. Thanks for reading

A larger SD card would be fine and if you look around you can get a 2GB one for very little (Google for Transcend 2GB 150x). Don't go larger than 2GB (not needed and might not work) and Western Europe (street level) map will fit more than easily.

Whether you download or buy the SD card is up to you, but whichever way you go, first thing to do with the new stuff is copy and backup. The download is 50 Euros cheaper than SD card for Western Europe. For the download Tom Tom say you need broadband.
