When in nav mode on my i3, sometimes when the road bear's left, it will say turn left and if the road bear's right it will sometimes say turn right when your not even turning on to a new road, just following the road around a bend. All this does is give you a false voice guidence. Is it a mapping issue or a problem with the filmware.I have tried every filmware release including 2.7 and get the same problem?

Happens from time to time. Matching the map to instructions is not an exact science, but neither is road planning. There will always be errors so you'll just have to accept it and get used to it. Use the display to verify the instruction.

as paul says, it's telling it exactly how the map is created. it must be hard for the map suppliers to keep up with changes in road markings etc which is usually where the problems lie. if it's any consolation it does it on every device to some degree!

I was thinking this was the case, and the problem was down to the mapping.Thanks.
