This is my first post. Hope someone can help me .... I go into Crazy ... I spend 3 days to try to make TT6 + BT GPS + HP 6828 work ... but not success!11
I already install TT6 successfully , i can view the map but cannot detect the GPS. ( I already follow the instruction for pair the bluetooth GPS , create a out going serial port , and assign the correct serial port in TT6 , but still show No GPS Device )
And I use the same GPS then use Map King software , it can detect the GPS.
Then , I use the same installation TT6 CAB file and GPS , install at HP 4150 ( PPC2003), it work , no problem , it can detect the GPS , I am wondering , is that TT6 have some compatitable problem with Windows Mobile 5 ?
Is that anyone can use HP 6828 + Bluetooth GPS + TomTom Netvigator 6 ?

Are you sure the GPS port is free, or is the Map King application still running in the background? - pressing the top right corner to shut down a program doesn't actually close the application. Use Start/ Settings/ Memory_Running Programs tab and see what is listed as running, use Stop All then try the TT6 again - Mike

Thanks Mike ,
I am sure that no program is running on the background to use GPS , I already try to soft reset the PDA Phone and then try again , still the same.
But now I work with GPS successfuly.
I am travel at US now, so I turn off the Phone function at HP 6828.
And I found that , if I turn off the phone function , the GPS will not work on TomTom.
If I turn the phone function , it will work . I think there is some probem on it .... may be a bug for TomTom 6.20 . Because when I turn off the phone function , the GPS still can work on King Map , only not work for TomTom.
( Turn off Phone function can save a lot of power on HP 6828.... :-P )

yep - this is a common issue with phone/PDA combinations. I had an O2 XDAIIi and this did the same thing. You had to have the phone on to get bluetooth connectivity. You could get away with no SIM card installed which at least stopped the phone hunting for cells and wasting battery power. _________________ Phil
Hi all!.. Another newbie.. (But I've been reading for years Wink..
I bought a Tytn & Tomtom Navigator 6 to use with my Globalsat BT 308.. With no or almost no luck some times it has been working but 95% with only bad lucky no connection to tomtom but software like GPS Info works great..
So Now I started reading this thread and thought.. Well why not turning the Phone on while using tomtom.. And to my surprise it worked! :O
But I'm sure I have been running my tytn trying to get it to work in the car with the phone activated, with no success..
So now to my question.. Could we all try to figure out how to get this to work every time? (I talked to Tomtom dealer support but they Just told me they do not support tytn.. Thank you and goodbye another 150$ down the drain Razz)
So what I have tested this time.. Was to have only BT on and start tomtom then in tomtom press my "Com" button and then turn on the phone and X-it back to Tomtom and it worked!
Best Regards Andreas
