Hi,
can anyone help with setting up gprs on my pda/phone for tomtom traffic/roadworks updates while driving, tomtom just freeses as I havent got the settings for gprs (isp, mac ect)

Who is your mobile phone service contract with and is it contract or Pay As You Go? - these are needed to answer your question - Mike |

Hi ,I have three sim cards two are with O2 and one with virgin mobile all three are pay as you go. I use them in a few diferent pda's using tomtom navigator6 the pda's are: mio digiwalkerA701 and O2 Xdalli and O2 Xda MiniS All three pda's are unlocked to any network. |

For a start you can forget using O2 Pay As You Go it simply will not work with the TomTom server, there is some information with respect to PAYG sim cards Here
I would phone vigin up using the mobile and get them to activate the GPRS connection for your device, they will then send the required settings to your phone, make sure you state Full Internet over GPRS otherwise you might only get the WAP service and that doesn't do what you want - Mike |
