Garmin SD card map question

Hi,

I am going to Italy for 2 weeks and would like to purchase the maps for it.

I saw this item at the Garmin store "SD data card, City Navigator NT, Italy & Greece" Now with this card can I just pop it into my Nuvi 350 and it will work? Also does this require any unlocking?

Last question, if there is no unlocking can I just sell the card after I am done with it and it will work for other people?

If you have a Nuvi 350, then you already have full European mapping, which includes Italy, so I'm not sure what extra you think you will get with the SD card.

The only scenario where I can see the card could seem to have benefit is if you are still on v8 mapping, and the SD card is guaranteed to be the latest v9 mapping. However, you might discover that upgrading to the latest v9 mapping is actually cheaper than the cost of the SD card, and you would benefit from the latest UK mapping as well as for Italy.

Answering your questions though, it should just work, I don't believe the SD cards needs unlocking as it's built into the SD card (which means you can't copy the SD card and expect the new card to work), and yes, you should be able to sell it on afterwards.

Sorry forgot to mention I am from the U.S. And buying a Nuvi 350 from the U.S.
