Range to the Camera (Garmin Nuvi 350)

Being a new user, I haven't noticed any ranges mentioned when warning is given of a POI (I'm particularly interested in speed/safety cameras) as other POIs tend not to 'impinge' upon my bank balance.

I regularly drive from north of England to central France and would appreciate knowing when the 'bong' occurs, how long I have got to monitor my speed and adjust if necessary.

I stopped speeding on purpose many years ago, but my Beemer tends to 'creep' up to just illegal speeds if my attention wanders.

Anyone have any data or a reference as to where the info can be found?

the default setting gives you about 30-40 seconds warning so quite a way! most people find this too long and there are a couple of utilities from Ash10 and CBROM that will allow you to specify warning distances/times for each camera type and speed.

For the most part, I don't need the warnings as it's much easier just to keep to the limit (less stressful).

It's nice to have 'top cover' though.
