Could someone take a look at the sys.txt file (on Mio devices) and explain what the: disable ... "_Ger", "Aut" line does?

Presumably it disables the German and Austria speedcam alerts. Are the legacy database locations still there (in the up to date database)?

Removing the "disable" line doesn't seem to re-enable them - would using a legacy database with the relevant lines removed re-enable the alerts?

Does anyone have a legacy database?

Is there a way of merging the info in the new databases with the German cam locations in the old database? I suspect this would be pretty simple for even a modest experience database programmer.

Questions, questions...

Mio say it is now illegal to have speedcam database in Germany (Ger) and Austria (Aut). It appears they are disabling the cams, when someone updates, to keep within the German and Austrian law. Not to aid and abet it seems.

Sure. But if they've removed the speedcams from the database then why do they need to modify the sys.txt file as well?
