I'm new to this, so forgive me if I have asked this question in the wrong forum page. I have a Tom Tom Go with a European Map SD card. Although it has some roads of Majorca on it, the detail is poor to say the least. Does anyone know, because Tom Tom don't, if I can purchase detailed mapping of Majorca Spain on an SD card ?
Many thanks. |

! Typical that you say TomTom themselves don't know!
You can buy the v6.6 map of Spain and Portugal for 59.95 EURO from the TT website HERE
The description on that page says:
Quote: | Detailed map of Spain, Portugal and Andorra connected to the Western European major road network. Includes Gibraltar and the Balearic Islands (Majorca, Minorca, Ibiza and Formentera). Does not include the Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla. Street network coverage: ES: 99% (of which 69% is fully attributed*), PO: 84% (of which 53% is fully attributed*), AD: 99% |
Alternatively, you can buy the latest Western Europe map from THIS PAGE for 99.95 EURO. |

Mine TT1v2 worked fine when I was there in December. although there are new roads and layouts not on the maps - one underpass and junction where I needed to exit was a problem :-{
For my purposes I didn't notice any lack of detail, and it took me to a few convoluted destinations in Palma itself. _________________ Henry |

Thanks All. Andy I have tried many times to buy the maps for Portugal & Spain but everytime it just bombs me out of the internet, Tom Tom tell me its because I am on a dial up connection. However, I've managed to download thinks from Applle before now, even if it has taken 2 and a half hours. Having spoken to Tom Tom, at great cost, I'm not convinced that their maps are the solution, is there anyone else other than Tom Tom who has the maps for Majorca that will work with my TT ? |

The only maps that will work on a TomTom are TomTom maps.
The 'ONE v2 Europe' and the 'Rider' are supplied new with a TomTom map baed on Navteq data.
All other TomTom Go's use TomTom maps with data from Teleatlas.
As far as I know only TeleAtlas have supplied the data for the v6.6 range of maps, so that is your choice: Buy a ONEv2 Europe, or buy the map I researched for you above. |
