Home icon grayed out after update; please help

I bought Tomtom Go 500 just over a year ago. Yesterday I did a software update via Tomtom web site, but now when I tap on the 'Navigate to' icon, my "Home" icon is grayed out and now I have to type in my postcode everytime.

I have been all through the menu's, but I can't figure out how to get my Home icon back.

Can anyone help?

"Change Home Location" is in the Preferences menu page 2 of 7 (in software 6.52). You may need to set "Show ALL menu options" (also somewhere in the preferences menu) in order to see it.

When I updated my Go300 it went fine, but when I updated a friend's Go700 it lost the Home location and all the Favorites too.
Both are stored in a file in your map folder. It is called 'MapSettings.cfg' on v6 software (note the exact spelling and use of capital letters ).
BUT, on v5 software it was called '{yourmapfoldername}.cfg'.
So you could try exploring your map folder and seeing if the file is there but needs renaming.
