Nuvi 310D Gone wrong!

Hi, i wonder if any one can advise me on what may have gone wrong with my nuvi 310D.

I bought the unit 2 weeks ago and last night i used the garmin poi loader to update to the latest pocket gps speed cameras and points of interest databases, but when i disconnected the unit using the 'safely remove hardware' button it went wrong..

Now when i turn the unit on it shows my backdrop photo and says nuvi 310 on the screen etc.. then it says loading maps... and then turns off.

I've tried resetting both user data and on the back of the unit and no luck..

Also when i plug the nuvi back into my laptop it is not detected and nothing much happens..

I'm sending it to nuvi but am not too impressed to say the least!

Any advice or help/suggestions would be much appreciated!

How many of the POIs did you load from this site? There are others who have suffered similar problems having simply downloaded too many POIs to the device (although the limit is not known, it appears there is a limit).

There are other threads on here with people who have had the same problem, but I do not know of a guaranteed solution, short of returning the device to Garmin (unless others know different...)
