Garmin i3 and Imac Poi Downloads

Hi folks
I have recently purchased a Garmin i3,what i would like to know is how do i go about downloading poi's onto the i3 ? i specifically want the speed cameras and associated info.i currently use a imac ,i have searched high and low and it appears macs are not compatible with garmin equipment,most download requirements state windows 2000 or xp, am i right or is there a way around this,i currently use firefox and from what i gather there are certain issues concerning downloads via Garmin,i am new to all this so please accept my apologies if i appear confused (i am) someone please help.

hi, you need to use garmin's poi loader software for this.

you may have to find someone with a pc or at least some kind of emulator?

Thanks for your speedy reply,MaFt will try and locate someone with a pc i can download the poi's onto.is it necessary to make a back up of the sd card before uploading the poi's onto the i3.
