Installation files for TT6 DVD on SD card

I followed the installation procedure for TT6 + MoWE DVD via TomTom Home which involved writing the installation files to the SD card via the reader and then inserting the card into my iPAQ hw6915 which then autoran the installation routine.

That all worked fine but now every time I insert the card or soft reset the device it autoruns TomTom which is a pain.

Can I simply reformat the card now and just install my maps etc, or are some of the application files required?

Can I just disable autorun on the card somehow?

I believe you can turn off the Autostart facility. An easir way is to rename the start.exe, autorun.exe or similar file in the root of the memory card. If you need to reinstall the software on the device rename the autostart file back or look in the .inf (or similar file) for the procedure to run.

They may be in the 2577 folder on your card - it seems to depend.

Interestingly when I did my update on-line by downloading V660 I put a blank SD card in my AXIM and it never installed the autorun stuff and I can insert the card without having TT start up.

I would strongly recommend you take a copy of all the files (or folder) just in case :D
