can i test my tomtom one

hello ....
i have a tomtom one and have updated the software using tomtom home..
but my problem is i am no longer allerted of speed cameras or any poi's ...i have set them up with bells etc and enabled them and so on but i get no warning

if i update my card (re-write) will this make a difference

and how can i test it other than getting in my car and driving to a speed camera or any poi..
hope htis makes sence

Use Advanced Planning to set a departure and destination point make sure the route passes a local camera, then route demo to play it back (set the speed to 100% - ish).
I assume you used to have warnings of cameras prior to the update - which Speed Camera database are you using the one from this site or the TomTom offering? - Mike

With the POI files in the map folder you need to go to Change Preferences/ Manage POI/ Warn When Near POI select EACH camera in turn and configure the warnings, sound/ distance/ POI on Route (or not) this must be done for each camera category you have loaded.
Make sure you don't have the volume turned down.
I also notice you mention upgrading the software - did this involve a map upgrade? - if so have you selected the new map and are the POI files in the new map folder? - in addition once the new map is selected you will need to set-up the warnings once it is selected - Mike

all setting are ok
poi all have a sound

all files are in the map folder

i get a symbol saying speed camera or church etc etc

but still no sound?!!

i do get a voice giving me instruction

Does the icon that appears come up on the map or in the top left corner of the display flashing as well? - Mike

the icon appears on the map... it allways has done..

i have also downloaded the sounds from http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/tomtom-poi-alerts.php
and this has made no difference...

its fixed
did a reset
inserted my original card
tried it with no warnings
inserted my other card and now its works

hope i didnt waste ya time and thanks forr the help

again i have a problem...

i have no warnings again
the symbol does not flash in the corner of the screen when passing a camera

but does when i pass a railway station and i also get a sound..
have i installed the cameras incorrectley
???

well have managed to fix the problem up to now but dontknow how...

i have just downloaded and installed an update tomtom application 8.2mb

now the camera flashes in the corner of the screen but no sound...i have allocated a sound for this camera atc atc.. just cant work it out

it worked fine b4 the update

any help please
