Has anyone got Nav6 working on a 3715? There have been some previous queries but not any actual yes/no answer.
I only really need the maps but can't help feeling that with the next release that they won't support Nav 5 at all. So I would like to do the full update if possible but obviously from other threads will get no help from TomTom if it doesn't work.

hi hgm and welcome to the forum

I not entirly sure you can upgrade the 37xx to 2003 or is you already have updated the ipaq to ppc2003 then navigator 6 should run as pocketpc 2002 is not supported.

or as its only a few days till xmas you could ask santa for a new ppc

I think there is an upgraded map availble from tomtom for nav5 and from what I've seen on the forums there's a 20% discount on maps

My 3715 had Windows Mobile 2003 as its operating system when purchased in 2005 at the same time that Nav 5 was released. Can't afford a new PPA everytime TomTom releases new maps (although that isn't frequent enough anyway).

hi hgm,
I can confirm TT6 works correctly on my ipaq 3715 complete with the PocketGPS speed ca,mera POI's along with spoken speedcam warnings.

My Speed Camera datebase is a little out of date and I intend to pay for the latest download just prior to my next M6/M5 adventure.

Regards,

Denis

Thanks for that. I've just got to get a larger SD card now. I was sent a 1GB card when I ordered a 2GB.

Hmmm!! Be careful about a 2gb card. It will not be seen in a 3870. Only 1gb can be seen. However somebody here once said it could be partitioned somehow to get round the problem. Not sure if the 3715 suffers the same but would be interested to know.

That will be a major problem with the new maps if true. I want to store other things on the card as well as the map. Has anyone tried a 2GB card with a 3715?

Sorry if it's a bit late, but the 3715 WILL take a 2GB card.

I have one in mine Smile

Thanks. I have in fact ordered a 2GB card but got sent a 1GB in error. So I haven't been able to investigate any further myself.
