TomTom Navigator 3 & Checkpoint 3.2 Slow

I have just purchased a Mio 168 with kingston 256 SD card and TomTom Navigator 3 & Checkpoint 2.3 but it is very slow loading up.

Could it be because I am indoors and it does not have a satalite connection

I also notice that when setting overlay options (checkpoint 3.2) and ok it takes a very long time before return start screen

any ideas of how to speed up

I have an Ipaq 1940, TT3.07 & Checkpoint 3.2.

I also find that checkpoint takes a while to load up & each screen of checkpoint, including synchronize seems to require repeated presses of OK button to close the option down.
I have checkpoint in main memory, but have the checkpoint files in the map directory on a 1GB SD storage card.
Once loaded, however, I have no problems with checkpoint running.

I seen mention on this web site recommending the use of CheckPOInt 2.02 instead of 3.2
