Have downloaded various POI's but when I try and open the folder I get the error message "Zip folder is Invalid or corrupted"
Any suggestions? |

The first suggestion is: can you give us some details about your setup?
Your computer OS.
The Files you are downloading.
How you are downloading.
Are you doing them as individual Categories, or as Sub-categories.
What are you using to try and Open the Files.
All the little details help. _________________ Richard

Thanks Oldboy
Your computer OS.
Win XP
The Files you are downloading.
Just selected any POI that seemed of interest. Did select quite a few at the same time. Maybe I will try one at a time
How you are downloading.
Just selected the download button and saved to MyDocs
Double clicked to try and open

I tried each option available to see if any one option had a bug in it. Unfortunately each option produced the same error message |

Success!!
Have downloaded in smaller bundles and selected show link to download.
Now do I just copy and paste into Western Europe map?
Unfortunately haven't been able to find installation instructions anywhere.

Yes, both the .ov2 file and the .bmp (icon) file go into the map folder, then you need to "enable" them in either Change Preferences - Enable/disable POI - select each one you want to see.
Or you acheive the same thing in Browse Map - Options - Tick "POIs" - tap the 'POI' button and select each one you want.

No, I couldn't see any on this site either, but the above is about all there is to it.
Just remember the limit of 39 categories for v5 software and 100 for v6. Any more than that and some (not necessarily the last ones added) will just not show up. |
