3 things spring to mind.Smile

1. You're using a very old database if you are downloading using PoiEdit.

2. You have exceeded your limit of how many POI Categories that TT can use.

3. If you've only just got it, and it's new, there should be a limit of 100.

Perhaps you could be a bit more specific on which Software you are using, and anything else you have added in the way of POI's, etc.Smile

hi

cheers for the reply

i'm using version 6.510 of the software which is the latest

i can try removing the POIs added using POIEDIT (and delete the POI categories) - i only added the camera ones a a few others though

if i just download the zip file and copy that to the TT folder will that auto add the right categories?

thanks

neil

If you are using the Text To Speech Computer voice on the 910 use the option to enter a spoken alert, this way your device can give you more information about the approaching camera, well worth the extra effort. If unsure how to do this there is a guide in the speed camera help forum specifically for the 910, the only other advice I would add is to fully back-up the device to the PC before you do much else, it will be the only copy of the software and maps loaded to the device - Mike

cheers for the advice Mike - i did use the backup option when i first connected to the 910 but i am going to also back up the whole directory and copy it to my laptop to be safe

when setting up the warnings do you mean select the full spoken warning and don't bother typing in my own warning?

cheers

Type your own warnings they sound better, you only do this once (thankfully).
The second back-up to the laptop is a good idea, copy the whole device using Windows Explorer this time, it saves the text to speech folders and files correctly - Mike
