Hi guys,

i have the following problem. i'm using an HP hx4705 with haicom 303e + BT slipper.TOMTOM navigator 3.07 + TOMTOM GPS 3.07.
I can install everything just fine, but i can't select the correct COM port in the GPS settings, all the programm is offering me is COM1 serial cable, but i need to set it to either COM6 or COM5...any ideas ?

i can access the 303e with the GPS tool that was included with the receiver, also another Software (Mobile Navigator 4) i working just fine...

greetings

Harry

just next to the com port select is a check box uncheck this then select the com pot then recheck the box and that should do it

i'm not sure if you are serious or not ?!?!?

of course i unchecked it, otherwise the comport selection and GPS device are greyed out.

the drop-down menu is opening when i press the down-arrow, but there's only COM1: there to select !!!

might be an idea to reinstall the gps driver or repalce it 2.07 from the downloads area on this site you should see more options than com1
i know it was a silly question but you never know

ok, now we're getting somewhere..since i allready re-installed everything, even after a hard-reset, i DL the 2.07 version, and now i can select different COM ports...allthough not COM6 for some strange reason, which is the build in CF slot, but COM8 is good enought since this is the BT COM port.
Do you know what the big difference betweens the versions is anyways ?

thanks for the help !!!
