Firstly, hope this is a suitable place to post. It's about TomTom hardware really. I think...
Anyway, see how it goes:
My TomTom One has just died. It's fairly new. I recently installed new US map and new voices (all legit, from the TomTom Home program) and a larger SD card.
Suddenly today it went off and now if I press Power I just get the green 'charging' light, even when it is not connected to ext power. Only way to get the light to go off is to press 'reset', and this is ALL reset does.
Have charged it on mains for 2-3 hours now. Have tried holding reset for 20-30 secs. Have tried with old SD card in, or none at all.
Nothing at all.
Any help obviously VERY much appreciated.
Also, does anyone have any experience of getting units repaired in the UK?

Before you give us your hard-earned cash....

All TomTom products bought on or after the 1st January 2005 are automatically guaranteed for two years as standard.
What you describe is a fairly standard fault, but it is normally caused by a faulty/wrong charger.
