|
|
I am using TomTom Mobile 5 on a Nokia N70, and have just downloaded and installed the new Western Europe Map v660. Previously, with the Great Britain map V605, the first screen of the Navigate to POI menu listed the 5 most recently used POI sets. Now, with the Western Europe map v660, the first 4 POI sets listed are always Government Office, Hotel/Motel, Mountain Peak, and Petrol Station. Only the 5th item on the screen changes to list my most recently used POI set. Is this a feature of the new map or does anyone know of a way to restore the previous behaviour? _________________ Kam |

As you use more categories the others will be elbowed out of the way. The most used one usually ends up at the top of the List.;) _________________ Richard

That's the way it used to work, but now those 4 categories, none of which I ever use, are stuck in positions 1 to 4. Only slot 5 seems to change as expected. _________________ Kam |

You'll have to use that first quite a few times to push it up the pecking order. then start on another. Tedious but it does work after a while.;) _________________ Richard

I see what you mean. I selected one of my personal POIs over and over again, and eventually it did start to move up the list. It looks as though I will eventually end up with the ones I want at the top.
Thanks for the input. _________________ Kam |

And now that my issue is resolved, just an observation on what unusual priorities someone at TomTom has. I wonder what percentage of the rest of us would agree with them in placing Government Offices and Mountain Peaks at the top of their list of most useful POIs? _________________ Kam |
