other countries on garmeni3

hi there is there any way to get rid of other countreies on i3 as i am fed up in selecting uk all the time?? surly this would free up some space on card. Also i need to find out how much space on card but i cannnot read it through satnav is there ant other way to read it..

The country select screen is called by the firmware. The mapping is 'a map' not individual country maps for UK version of i3. So no go there.

The i3's with TF cards have more than enough space for POI's no risk of running out.

If you want to look at what is on the card pop it out the unit and use a micro SD (Transflash) card reader. Before you don anything else backup the card just in case.

Thanks for yor reply. Are there any other tricks i can do with this unit.I know it a cheap unit and there are better ones out there but bought it incase it gets nicked etc, so that would make it a throw away one if it did.

Search through this forum for "ximage" or "splash screen" it is possible to change an i3 splash screen as well.
