europe map coverage

my tomtom one v1 regional with werstern europe maps installed from navigator 5 cds includes poland and chezch republic together on the germany, austria and switzerland plus maps.
these appear to be street level maps.
a friend of mine wishes to purchase a new tomtom one v2 europe and travels to these countries, but i cant see any mention of chezch or poland maps on the literature, presumably as these countries are eastern europe, but..........
how come i have them from my western europe cds???
how would he obtain these maps for the v2 tomtom one? presumably thru tomtom site but could prove quite costly??

The old 2Gb Europe map v606 included these, as did/does the CD/DVD but the latest 1Gb Europe map v650 does not.

You can still buy the 2Gb version SD card if you look around.
