Help - I'm a Pocket PC virgin and have reasonable PC knowledge but having problems replacing the standard POI warnings with the customised "Speed camera" warnings in Tomtom Navigator 6.

I've downloaded the OGG files and the "7370_new.data.chk" file but there isn't a file on the Pocket PC called just "data.chk". My data files are all numbered on the pocket pc, eg : "data00.chk" and also have a correcponding .vif file. I think I need to rename the "ogg" files to "chk" but I'm not sure and don't know which files to replace.

How do I replace the voices in this case. Is there any way of identifying which data file relates to which standard voice?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum, the file you have downloaded as a data.chk should be renamed to data.chk it lives in program files/ navigator folder
Please don't start renaming file types from ogg to/ from chk this doesn't work, the data.chk file is comprised of 15 ogg sounds.
You can use ogg files so long as the name matches the poi file it is to be used with, try a search on ogg files to show up more information, as the ogg files are easier to use in my opinion - Mike

Thanks - running perfectly. It's easy when you know where to look.
