Mio c710 - Get an external receiver!

I have been very pleased with my c710 since I bought it about 4 weeks ago. However, it has been taking between 2 minutes and about 15 minutes to lock when mounted in the car.

I suspect that on my Galaxy it has trouble receiving through the heated front windscreen.

Anyway, the long and short of it is that I just bought an external receiver (shipped in from the US via ebay for about £12). The unit is only about 30 x 40 x 10 mm, and has a magnetic base. It took about 15 minutes to mount it just inside the roof bars (and on a black car its not too visible) and run the wires through round the seals and up through the dash to the Mio. Result?? It locks in about 15 seconds flat! Would recommend it to the house!
