|
|
I have a ICN510 running the Smart ST2005 software with UK / Ireland maps only. A friend recently gave me his Base European Basemaps CD as he is getting a new system. I have bought a new larger SD card, & the European Basemaps have successfully loaded onto the SD Card.
The problem is that they appear in red on the maps Memory Card menu, & I cannot place a tick in the box. Anyone got any ideas as to how I can unlock these maps?
Thank you. |

Is your 510 unlocked for all maps or UK only?
You say your 510 is running SmartST 2005 but is it running the new maps, too? _________________ Tim |

Hi Tim,
Thank you for responding. UK only as far as I know. It is Smart ST2005, but with the old maps that came with it.
Does this help to clarify things & let me know if there is a solution?
Cheers. |

Are your other maps listed as V3.0? If no new (V3.5) maps have been registered on your device, you probably won't be able to use the European Basemap. The only solution would be to buy and register your own. _________________ Tim |

My other maps are listed as V3.0, so looks like I will have to buy my own maps. Shame! Thanks for your help Tim. |

Hi
As the maps were most probably registered to your friend, you can’t just upload his maps to your iCN, as you have no unlock codes from Navman.

Hi forgot to mention.
Navman latest maps should be available in December from Navman. The last set cost about £90 for full Western Europe.
Regards
