speed camera alerts without routing

Not sure if this is the right forum but here goes. I have just bought a car with built in satnav which doesn`t accept speed camera POI`s. I was thinking of buying a Tomtom One just for the speed camera alerts. I know I could buy a Road Angel or similar but the rest of the family could use the Tomtom as well. My question is, in my car could I use the Tomtom just to warn me of speed cameras without using the navigation side of it or would I have to set a destination.

Yes, you can have the speed cameras POI set up in Tom Tom to alert you to Speed Cameras as you drive around and have no route plotted.
