Text to Speech bug?

Hi,

I'm running 6.0.4.110 and went on a long trip today. I noticed that the text-to-speech instructions sometimes sounded like a bad telephone connection (i.e. starting and stopping and with short missing bits). This usually seemed to ocurr with larger text for the copilot to convert to speech.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I am running this on an 8125 (cingular) pocketpc. Other than that the only trouble I had was that the maps for my area (Near Stockton California USA) seem to be about four or five years out of date (Any roadway much newer than 5 years does not exist in the database).

Oh and while I'm on the topic, how often do we get map updates (I've only had CoPilot for a few days)? Am I likely to see my area being updated anytime soon (seeing as I am uploading all my trips regularly)?
