Dell Axim X5 doesn't work with Crux II gps receiver

I recently bought a Dell Axim X5 and purchased Tom Tom Nav 2.24.2 for it with the naive hope it would work with my Crux II gps reciever that work brilliantly in my Laptop.

The Axim recognises the Card when I insert it into the CF port but when I try to activate it my PDA hangs until I pull the card out or reboot the PDA.

I've contacted Tom Tom who say they can't replicate the problem but also don't have a similar card.

Can anyone help or do I have to splash out for a gps card specifically for my PDA?

You will have to check the Dell site for ROM upgrades. We also have seen reports of other CF GPS cards failing with the X5, for example here http://www.todopocketpc.com/foro/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12899
