No way can I get any POI icon to appear on any scale map. I am sure they showed up before but I only had it a few hours before I upgraded it.

BTW what is this "hard reset" and what does it do?

TIA

Well after the hard reset caused by the "black screen of death" they are now showing up - Ho Hum.

I contacted Mio about the spontaneous reboot, which I have also experienced and this is what they say:

"If this problem occurs once, it could be the internal memory was not
sufficient any more for navigating, forcing a reboot to free-up system
memory.

However, if this happens more than once, there is possibly a corrupt file in
the software of your device, in that case, I suggest updating your MioC210
again.

Corrupt files will be recognized and overwritten with a newly downloaded
file."

Does this help/interest you?

Well I doubt it had run out of anything - It had only been on for ten minutes and I had moved maybe a mile and a half :-)

Not happened since so fingers crossed.
