Some time ago there was a bit on the Mio site which said the 168 would take a 2GB card but then it disappeared from the site and everywhere I read said 1GB was maximim. When I had my 168 I used a 1GB Kingston Ultimate Card.

I am using a 2gb sd card in my Mio 168 and would confirm that I have no problems at all, this was a cheapy costing around 20.00 incl post, it is branded Kingmax and supposedly high speed, but to be quite honest cannot notice any difference, also use Kingston 512mb,viking 1gb and bravo 1gb, have also loaded films,mp3,s on 2gb and no problems with any of them.
hope this helps

I'm using a mymemory own brand x133 2GB card - I bought from them as they have a compatibility list on their site.

Transfer speeds seem pretty quick - 1 minute to copy a 360MB map onto my laptop, 3 minutes to write it back to the card (I was trying to defrag it after defrag had given up !)

I'm using about 1.6GB of it with no problems - memorymap & tomtom
