clearing recent history TT5.21

using TT 5.21 on my ipaq rx3715
it seems I`m unable to drop a list of recent history locations, so that when I boot it up it calculates the route to the same location (not home)
also I`m unable to add/delete POI`s
other than restoring factory setting, how can I clear the history. and will clearing it have an effect on my other poi`s such as bridge hights and speed camera database

If you tap the screen, then tap the arrow, you should get an icon that says ........clear route.
If you tap that, it will clear the route that is in the memory from the last time.
You can't as such clear the history from TomTom, by history I presume you mean the last addresses you inputted. It is possible using an editor and playing about with the files but its not possible within TomTom to delete the addresses stored, they just drop of the end as you add new ones.
If you want to actually clear that particular file I'm sure someone with a little bit more knowledge than myself will be able to tell you exactly what you need to do.

The File that holds the information is the CFG File in the Map Folder. It will have the same name as the Map Folder Name.

If you delete this File, TomTom will re-create it the next time it starts.

A word of warning though, you will also lose all your settings, as if you had done a Factory Reset.;)
