Ok, I bought an Acer N35 and giving it a test run...

Destinator has calculated my route, but now I want to check the route before setting off. So I start moving the map around using the stylus. However, if I leave the map alone for more than a couple of seconds it reverts back to the current gps position. This is abit anouying as i want to be sure it taking me the right way, or see whether its using a certain road. Anyone else experience this and no how to stop it?

Thanks in advance.

Destinator PN does the same, so I think its normal.
I just shut off the GPS signal but I don't know if that is possible with the Acer sine it has a build in receiver.
Another way is to go to the menu and switch in route planing mode this will disable the GPS signal but don't forget to revert the setting before you get going.

There should be a "Show Route" somwhere if I remember right. But the best way to view the map is to put it on the planner mode. That way you can easyly do stuff and it won't warn about the GPS-signal and move the map to your position.
