Map Update Latest from Tom Tom

I have an original Tom Tom Classic and have had the map version 5.71 for 1 1/2 years now and regularly look at this web site for new release information. Having heard little news and becoming increasingly fed up of driving across fields (according to my Tom Tom) I felt I had to ask them, yet again, when the new map release was due. Below is there response:-

"The maps that you have now are the latest version of the maps that we have. We do have a map update coming out but it has been delayed a bit. Research and Development have kept the maps back for further research to make sure that when they are released, there are as less problems as possible. At this moment in time it is not clear exactly when this will be out. Our newsletter will notify customers when the new maps are released."
