Offline itinerary planning with a TomTom One v2

I have just bought a TomTom One v2 Europe, having used TomTom on PDAs for about 3 years.
When TTN5 came out it was not possible to run a multi-waypoint itinerary to test it offline - it just sat there saying Waiting for a GPS position. Very soon a workaround was posted - start a route demo from the desired starting position, stop after a few yards, then go to itinerary planning and enter the desired route. TomTom was fooled into believing that the current position was where you had stopped the demo, so you could run your itineraries starting from that point and, if satisfied, store them for future use.
I used that satisfactorily for 18 months, and it was useful for planning and storing routes abroad before leaving home.
I tried to do the same thing with my new TomTom One. The problem is that you can't disable the GPS receiver, and it's so darned sensitive that there is almost nowhere in the house where I don't get a fix. So if I follow the above procedure for an itinerary which I want to start at, for example, Calais, as soon as I try to run the trial itinerary it picks up the GPS signal and my start position reverts to my actual current location! I know I can use the A-B Advanced planning with any desired start position, but you can't have multiple waypoints with that option, and you can't store the routes if you are satisfied with them.
Has anyone found out how to do this yet? Planning and storing routes in advance of going to a region is an important tool.

You can do what you want via TT HOME.

When it is connected up, you are able to use a Virtual ONE on the PC Screen.

You are also able to set a Current Location and then plan either a Navigate to ..., or set up an Itinerary, which would then start from the Current Location that you set.;)

The Valid GPS Signal does come into play because the PC is using the ONE purely as a Card Reader, and it does work.
