When I plan a trip from anywhere in mainland Europe to the POI for the "Dunkerque Ferry Terminal" the route takes me to Boulogne then a ferry to Dover and then a Ferry from Dover to Dunkerque!!
Is it just my set up, or a fault.

Hi derek500
I do not have TT6 but do have TT5. I cant get my programme to come up with the same snag that you are experiencing and my setup takes me straight to the Ferry Terminal. Sorry I cant help. _________________ Tomtom Go 720.

Hi derek500,
just tried this using advanced planning from where I live in Germany (Griesheim, about 30km South of Frankfurt) and it worked okay, i.e it went to the "Dunkerque Ferry Terminal" without routing via the UK.
My config details in signature.
Cheers for now,

Thanks for that Chaddow.
I tried that route on mine and it still went via Boulogne and Dover!!
I'll get over it!

I have now got hold the poi.dat file from the France map, copied it over to my Western Europe folder (after renaming the existing file to poi.datwe) and I can now get to Dunkerque Ferry Terminal without going via Boulogne-Dover-Dunkerque.
I have compared the positions of the poi in both the 'France' and 'Western Europe' maps and the poi are about 300m apart along the same road!! Can't see why it can't find it directly. |
