When I attempt to set up a route with Bluetooth and GPS connected I get the message in the Navigation screen of

Destination Set
Route will be planned when GPS position is reliable.

On checking the GPS from the navigator menu I can have 5 or 6 satellites connected and what appears to be the correct Lat and Long.

So everything seems to be working individually but !!!!!
Nothing works.

Welcome to the biggest nightmare of a street navigation program - a position off street... Make sure that when in Map view, TomTom clearly understands it's on a street that is publicly available (you can't start or stop navigation on private roads)

Sometimes after starting in Navigator view, it will not see the satellites and shows 0 satellites, when GPS shows many. I switch to map view and it suddenly sees the satellites, then I switch back to Navigator and all is fine.

Many thanks for your advice.

Picked up answer from Globalstat Forum.

Gps has to be identified as NMEA 13480. Then it works, green light comes back and it recognises position.

Well it did last night - today who knows??

Many thanks.
