Evening all,

Is it possible to have the map detail a bit bigger on the C510 without actually zooming in whilst navigating etc it just seems sometimes that it could do with being that just little bit bigger.

By the way I am being totally lazy here and havent looked at the manual, am in front of my pc and decided to ask whilst I am perusing the threads and for my tea I had a dictionary and I still havent heard from MITAC regarding the software updates and these boards are quiet and someone must have something to say or moan about, Ceejay seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth, Anita`s playing with her software again sorting out the speedcams or wanting to, cant winge at the wife she hasnt been well, apart from that it `s just a normal Sunday.............

Hi Dil

It's me. :D
No I haven't disappeared off the face of the earth, but now I've finally got a fully functioning unit (after a few tweaks that is), there's not much to talk or moan about.
While I'm here, someone complained many moons ago, that they never saw the sun setting on their unit. I replied that I had seen it but you had to be driving towards it. Lo & behold this morning it showed the sun rising too! (First time I've seen that).

By the way Dil, did you ever take the plunge and install the PGPSW camera database?

CeeJay.

Hi Ceejay, Nice to hear your unit is working as it should, I tried to install those files yu sent me but everytime I tried to download the attachment it kept giving me an error message saying download did not complete....when I checked the file there was 70% in one and 90% on the other, the bit you mentioned regarding a couple of files with ticks on , there was only one ticked.

So I think I will wait and see what happens with the upgrade seeing as we are in September and if it doesnt come I will have to get back to you.

By the way , how do I get the mapping a bit bigger?

Cheers Ceejay.

Hi Dil.

The only way I know is using the zoom function. On mine, the zoom level stays where I left it, even after shutting down.
The only other thing you could try is using it in map mode.
It still navigates OK in map made, but the map fills the whole screen.
I've used both map and cockpit mode but went back to cockpit mode as I find the ETA very useful when I'm going to places I'm unfamiliar with.

CeeJay.
