GPS 500 & Tungsten T2

Has anyone got these two to work together - I've just upgraded from an m500 :D but two things have frustrated my use of my existing GPS 500 :x :

- Although it is not as easy as the m500, the T2 can mate with the GPS 500, and it acknowledges something has connected with the Universal Connector with a "beep". After that, nothing. Using CetusGPS (www.cetusgps.dk) I see that "no GPS is connected"
- OS 5 does not support MSMount so as SmarthPath software is not VFS-compliant, you can't load the maps onto memory cards (a minor issue if I can't get the hardware to work!)

Any clues or do I need to move on

Oops! worked it out by myself - Cetus just needed the baud rate setting to 57600 and it picked up the Navman fine, although connection is a bit dodgy - shape of the bottom of the T2 differs slightly from the m500.

Not so good on the software front as SmartPath Trip crashes on entry. :x Navman-Europe report in response to an e-mail that they expect to have an OS5 application (with VFS support for cards) by March 2004 - - might have to get something else in the meantime.

Off to the software forums (fori?) then.....
