Help anyone please!

When encountering NEW camera sites that are not on the pockect GPS database I have been adding them as I go using the facility in Checkpoint.

I add new camera position and speed.

However, when I go past the same NEW position again it is displayed on the map view but does not seem to attach its self to the overlay as the warning is not activated as it is on OLD camera positions.

What am I doing wrong???

New cameras that you add are saved in the CheckPOInt.ov2 file. You need to have this POI enables in TomTom for it to display (which you have done).

To receive warnings for these new cameras you have to configure CheckPOInt to monitor the CheckPOInt.ov2 file in the same way as you have done for the POCKETGPS_SC.ov2 POI, i.e. enable detection and configure an alarm for 1st and 2nd warnings.

Once this is done you will get alerts as you approach these new sites.

Also, once you have captured some new locations, if you can email us the CheckPOInt.ov2 file we can add these to the database for the next release Thumbs Up

Darren

I think I have got what you are saying I will try this out.

Once I have a few more locations I will forward them on.
