Map Help - Europe Maps Please

Hi,

I have a TT one and am looking to increase to full european maps. I have seen two options:

a 1.9Gb download from TomTom site afor €119.95 (£80ish)

or

(bottom of page)

for £150 including a SD card

Now I understand that the SD card is 'seamless' and comes with the SD card but £70 seems a lot of cash for not a lot of difference! Are they the same maps and same POI's? Is one newer that the other?

I know that maps are to be updated shortly, is that just UK maps or is it all Europe maps as well.

I've also seen a DVD for approx £100. Is that the same as the £80 download? I assume the 6 x CD's of Western Europe are older maps as they are CD Vs DVD.

Well, I think I can help you out here.

I've just downloaded the Full Western Europe one for €119 and the maps are version 6.32!! not the newer 6.50 ones.

Also, I thought they were the ordinary *county* maps but each one is the PLUS version which is a pain as I already have GB with Main Roads ver 6.50

I suspect that second link is the same thing? Might be worth a call ask which version it really is?

The downloadable version is the same as the DVD or CD set. Individual country Plus maps (pain in the 4rse!)

The SD card version is one Seamless map.

THAT'S the difference.

Is this SD card V 6.5 maps or the older maps?

Also, are the european maps due an update soon like the GB ones?

i just bought one from the tom tom site.. 103 quid.. a teleatlas map 6.50.. it comes on a i gig card and even has southern ireland on it.. the website shows it not covering ireland but mine does..

it comes complete with 6.15 software..
