I would be grateful for your help. My Tom Tom One (original) came with App 5.450. Tom Tom Home is providing an update to App 6.150. If I download this version, will my unit work as before with all POIs, warnings etc? Are there any advantages to upgrading to 6.150, since the unit works fine with 5.450? Advice gratefully received.
Regards

Just a few minor tweaks, prettier colours, couple of extra menu items, more POI's allowed and less problem if you use a larger SD card (1Gb or more).
No it won't affect anything unless you're using Rays camera warning voices in which case you'd need the latest version from his site. |

John | Make sure you take a full backup before you start. I think if you search you'll find that there was some issue, maybe that the warnings were lost, but I'm sure that someone who has updated will correct me! _________________ Jock

I have just perfomed this upgrade. Not many major changes, but there are a couple of additional menu items etc.
However you do end up with a new data.chk file, so it will reset any speed-cam warningss you may have installed, meaning you will have to re-install a new data.chk file from this site. _________________ Regards

Thank you all. It looks as though the speed camera voice warnings would have to be reloaded, and that is the tedious set up bit!

No you don't need to reset - Ray's voices are in the same place and when youb instal the new data.chk it will pick up the correct ones _________________ Peter

Thanks all. Version 6.150 installed. Having done this (having backed up first of course!), you do need to load the new customised POI warning sounds for v6.150, then rename the new data.chk file and dump the old one. You then DO have to reset every speed camera voice warning from Manage POIs manually. Note that before doing anyof this, v6.150 is different, and you first have to go into Change Preferences and tap More Menu Options to get the Manage POIs. otherwise they are hidden. I hope this advice helps someone!
